Smog blankets HK once again

Smog blankets HK once again: Very high levels of air pollution have been affecting the territory once again.

By 4am on Friday, the reading at the roadside monotoring station in Central had climbed to 182, with 169 in Causeway Bay and 160 in Mong Kok.

The general station in Kwun Tong was also giving a very high reading, of 107.

Light winds were being cited as the reason for the the build-up of pollutants.

Any reading above 100 is considered very high.
