Clydebank man fined for waste offences

Clydebank man fined for waste offences: A Clydebank man was fined �400 at Dumbarton Sheriff Court yesterday (25 September) after pleading guilty in July to illegally keeping waste on a site in West Dumbarton.

Mr Robert Crawford pled guilty to keeping controlled waste on the site at Boquhanran Road, Clydebank, West Dunbartonshire and failing to comply with an enforcement notice that required him to remove the waste. The matter was reported to the Procurator Fiscal by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) after repeated attempts to have the waste removed were unsuccessful. He pled guilty on 31July 2012. Sentencing was deferred until 25 September 2012.
