Deer Park chemical plant evacuates after fire - Houston Chronicle: A fire at a Deer Park chemical plant early Monday prompted the evacuation of about 30 employees, but the blaze was quickly extinguished and no injuries were reported, a company official said.The alarm was pulled about 11 a.m. when a scaffold ignited at Dow Chemical Plant in the 1900 block of Tidal Road near Old Battleground Road, Dow spokeswoman Tracie Copeland said."We're not sure how that happened, but we're going to investigate it," she said
