No more peanuts as compensation | Zambia Daily Mail

No more peanuts as compensation | Zambia Daily Mail: I AM beginning with a complaint from a reader, who asked to be identified only as DM, of Kitwe. DM says after what happened at her work place recently, she is convinced that there is need for sensitisation so that workers are not denied their rights and employers are aware of the benefits of complying with the provisions of the law.
“My workmate was involved in an accident at work. The accident was quite serious because he needed 12 stitches on his head and could not work for two weeks,” she writes.
DM says her workmate was not aware that his employer was required by law to report the accident to the Workers Compensation Fund Control Board (WCFCB)
