GRANDMOTHER’S home was left in a real mess when bricks came crashing through the ceiling.
Janet Andrews had taken her one-year-old granddaughter for a walk on Friday afternoon to avoid the noise of council workmen replacing the tiles on her roof.
When she returned home to Lentworth Avenue, Bispham, she found around 4m by 2m of her bedroom ceiling had collapsed, with workmen telling her some displaced bricks had caused the damage.
The 51-year-old said: “I was going to put my granddaughter to bed in the bedroom but it was so noisy I took her out.
