Heart attack in changing rooms before start of shift considered 'accident at work': A FATAL heart attack within an employee's normal hours and whilst on the premises is considered an 'accident at work', the Supreme Court of Spain has ruled.

The insurance company covering employer's liability at Volkswagen Navarra had declined a claim for the death of a staff member after he suffered a cardiac arrest whilst he was in the changing rooms at the start of his shift.
