Eighty-six camels were killed on Thursday morning, when flames engulfed a building at a family-run animal farm in the southwestern German state of Baden-Wüttermberg. The blaze also caused €1 million worth of damage, said police.
Rescuers were able to save just five of the camel herd from the inferno as it decimated their sleeping quarters overnight at the farm in the state's Calw county.
