36 Glasgow restaurants hit with notices for using chapati blowtorches | Scotland | News | STV: Restaurants have been targeted in a health and safety crackdown on blowtorches used to cook chapatis.

Glasgow City Council served 36 prohibition notices on premises across the city in the second half of last year for using chapati flamers.

In a report before the local authority’s sustainability and the environment policy committee on Wednesday, the use of the blow torches to scorch the Indian flat bread is highlighted as a concern.
